ABOUT 

Stanford University, officially Leland Stanford Junior University, is a private research university located in the census-designated place of Stanford, California, near the city of Palo Alto. The campus occupies 8,180 acres (3,310 hectares), among the largest in the United States, and enrolls over 17,000 students. Stanford is ranked among the top universities in the world. Stanford was founded in 1885 by Leland and Jane Stanford in memory of their only child, Leland Stanford Jr. 

 PROGRAMS

 The university is organized around seven schools: three schools consisting of 40 academic departments at the undergraduate level as well as four professional schools that focus on graduate programs in law, medicine, education, and business.


ADMISSION 

International students who are non-native English speakers have to submit test scores in English proficiency tests as it is a requirement for Stanford University and helps them decide your capability of keeping up in their country. Stanford University accepts the following scores: 

  • 100 and above on the TOEFL IBT
  • 7.0 and above on the IELTS Academic
  • 68 and above on the PTE Academic.

 Stanford University requires all undergraduate applicants to submit ACT/SAT test scores:

  • ACT: 31-35. 
  • SAT: 1450-1590


 TUTION FEES 

The university’s tuition fee is $51,353 for a year With the university located in California, you can expect the living expenses to be a bit high depending on your lifestyle. On average Living Expenses- $18,804/year.
